The results from the recent presidential election have potentially catastrophic ramifications, not just in American but worldwide. And already is it creating rippling effects in the publishing industry. Publishers, like the rest of us, are scrambling to find out what it means and how it’s going to affect the industry.
Some have already used the time since the results were announced to reflect on how America ended up with this decision. Books are where we question ourselves as a society and as people and some publishers are figuring out that the people who need to learn this message aren’t serviced enough by the publishing industry. Hopefully by the next election, publishers will be successful at what they are planning and these voters will become much more enlightened.
